Attention Families of High School Seniors!

This Sunday, May 20th, at the 11am Mass we’ll be celebrating the High School Senior class!

Seniors will meet at 10:45 am in the gathering area of church in their caps & gowns. They’ll process in together at the beginning of Mass and have reserved seating. After Communion, the Seniors will receive a blessing and congratulations from the community. Following Mass, we have cake (instead of donuts) for everyone.

Regina Spring Concert

The Regina Jr./Sr. High School Vocal Music Concert will be held at St. Thomas More tonight (Wednesday, May 9) beginning at 7:30pm. All are welcome!

First Communion 2012

First Communion was held this past weekend at all masses. Seventy-Five youngsters received the Eucharist for the first time. Congratulations!! Below are pictures from the 3 masses.

RCIA Candidates Attend Rite of Election

Last month our RCIA Candidates attended the Rite of Election at the Cathedral in Davenport.   Please continue your prayers for these adults as they prepare to enter our church on Holy Saturday

Junior High Youth Rally

Ash Wednesday Masses

Masses for Ash Wednesday, February 22nd, will be at 9 A.M. and 6 P.M.

RCIA TO START AT ST THOMAS MORE !!!

RCIA is for people who seek to learn more about Christianity and the Catholic Church: the unbaptized, those baptized in other denominations, and unconfirmed Catholics. The process is also great for anyone who has been away from the Church for a time or who just wants learn current Church teachings.

Do you or someone you know want to learn more about Catholicism? If so, think about joining the RCIA process or inviting someone to do so. Sessions begin in late October and continue through May and are held on Thursday Evenings.   Members of St. Thomas More Parish are urged to join with you on the journey as presenters on the core team, as sponsors, or by presenting the weekly Gospel in the “Breaking Open the Word” on Sunday Mornings .

This year we will be holding classes on Thursday evenings beginning October 13th at 7:00 in the lower level meeting room. Call Deacon Ed Goldsmith at 337-4231 for more information.

PreSchool Registration

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CALENDAR

Sacrament of Confirmation Registration

We will be registering high school students in grades 9-12 for the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Thomas More in the Gathering Area after all Masses on the next two weekends: August 13-14 and August 20-21. Families must be registered, active members at St. Thomas More before signing up a student for Confirmation classes. Classes are held on the second Sunday of each month beginning Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 7-8:15pm in the church lower level. Bishop Amos will be here to celebrate our Confirmation Liturgy on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the 5:15pm Mass. Detailed calendars will be given out with the registration packets.
